Steamer “Gov. Morton”

“Steamer Gov. Morton, Capt. Goodspeed, was sunk below New Orleans night of 25th ult. by coming in contact with the steamer McClellan.  Two persons on board the Gov. Morton lost their lives, one a soldier of one of the Massachusetts regiments, and the other a prisoner by the name of Tieman.  The vessel is a total loss.”
